This November, once again, Amsterdam held the world’s largest trade fair for nautical accessories: METS

As we have been doing for more than 20 years, we at Marine Business have participated to present our new products for the 2022-23 season.

This year we have opted for a larger stand to be able to show all our collections of nautical equipment and we have presented our new products to our customers in the nautical sector: The Lombok and Venezia melamine tableware, the new series of unbreakable glasses and cups specially designed by Marine Business (all of them with anti-slip rim and the newest developed material on the market: Ecozen) and teak boat furniture line.

The new Lombok collection has had a spectacular reception, as it is the first time that a black melamine line has been adapted to the new trends in the nautical market, where we can increasingly see black as the predominant colour in many semi-rigid or stainless steel yachts and sailing boats.

The new Ecozen material has caused a sensation, as we can finally offer unbreakable glassware with numerous features. The new collections of unbreakable cups and glasses, made of Ecozen, are recyclable, sparkle like glass and are dishwasher safe.

It was a product that had been requested by our customers for a long time and now, thanks to months of development and research, has seen the light of day.

We have also presented the teak boat furniture collection, which has been a resounding success. The director’s chairs, stools and tables have attracted a lot of attention, both for their extraordinary quality and for their design and colour range. The new colour Acqua has been one of the most requested by all our customers.

The furniture is made from legally sourced teak from Indonesia and we have finished it with clear varnish so that the quality of the teak is always visible.

It has been a pleasure receiving client from all over the world. This boat show attracts countries from all continents, not just Europe. We have had the opportunity to meet with our most distant distributors and also to open partnerships with countries such as Israel, Seychelles or the Philippines.

But as it is not all work, on Tuesday, we celebrated in the Spanish Pavilion, the Spanish Party, organised by all the Spanish exhibitors who have a stand at METS. Due to the pandemic we had not been able to organise it for two years and we were very excited to see how it would go.

The party was a great success and we all took the opportunity to network and chat with all our clients in a relaxed way.

We are returning to Barcelona with an excellent feeling and very satisfied with the reception given to the new products and the excellent commercial relations we have with our customers, many of them friends.

Moreover, we are happy to see that the nautical sector continues at a good pace and that METS continues to be the sector’s benchmark show, where you can find everything you need for equipping sailing and motor boats, whatever their size.

We return to Barcelona motivated for the start of a new nautical season!
